1. Bioglue
costs 20-30% lower in comparison with formaldehyde resin,
absolutely safe for both consumers and producers.
2. Biopanel
more durable (does not crumble by processing and assembly of the finished product, such as furniture, for example),
moisture-resistant,
environmentally friendly,
can be utilized with no environmental damage,
biodegradable,
can be recycled.
3. For manufacturers of wood-based panels
No need in re-equipment of the current wood-based panels production,
Ability to recycle rejected boards results in significant reduction of production costs.
4. For furniture manufacturers
Old furniture and wastes of production can be sent to the manufacturer of wood-based panels in exchange for new ones.
5. For consumers
Possibility to get new furniture in exchange for an old one.
Current natural glues are very close by characteristics to the proposed bioglue (for example, adhesive capacity to “conventional strip” – 1,5-5 kg, adhesion strength – 6-10 MPa). However the bioglue has a number of strong advantages:
1. The offals of food industries are used for the bioglue production. That allows not only to solve the problem of glue market saturation, but also to reduce environmental effects of enterprises. In addition, the organization of bioglue production enables food processing enterprises to meet the ready offals sale and reduce expenses related to processing of secondary raw materials.
2. The proposed bioglue is absolutely ecologically safe.
3. The cost of the bioglue is much lower in comparison to the analogs (by 30-50%).
4. The proposed bioglue is moisture-resistant in contrast to other natural glues.
5. The proposed composition is universal and can be used to glue wood, paper, labels, plywood etc.
6. The colour and the viscidity of the bioglue composition can be matched to characteristics of the glued surfaces (for example, restoration work requires viscous glue with an invisible seam, pressing wood-based panels requires less viscous glue, that interblends easily with sawdust, shaving, etc.).
